Building a Bank on Personal ServiceCFBank has its roots in the clay-rich soil of Wellsville, Ohio, where it was founded in 1892 as Central Federal Savings & Loan. For the first 110 years of our existence, CFBank was based in Columbiana County, with its headquarters in Wellsville and an office in nearby Calcutta. In 2003, the Board of Directors saw the need for a new direction.
It began in January 2003 when David C. Vernon, former Founder, Chairman, President and CEO of Summit Bank, was named CFBank's new Chairman and CEO. With his leadership came a new vision for CFBank to expand beyond eastern Ohio into Fairlawn and Columbus.
The new offices are patterned after the model established at Summit Bank, which gives businesses and individuals personalized, focused service and direct access to decision-makers.
Today, CFBank serves businesses and individuals alike, providing result-oriented solutions and exceptional service.
CFBank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Federal Corporation, which is traded on NASDAQ under the stock symbol CFBK. Central Federal Corporation was organized as a Delaware corporation in September 1998 in connection with the conversion of CFBank from a mutual to stock organization.
